| 1960 Corvette FI Matching Numbers 4 speed | Contact us for pricing. |
This is my personal triple black roadster with matching numbers on everything: It is a factory 283 CI, 290 HP Fuel Injection, 4 speed, 4:11 posi rear end, power windows. Lot of questions on this one. Yes, this car is ALL matching numbers. Correct block, heads, fuel unit, trans, and rear end. Correct master cylinder, wheel cylinders, exhaust manifolds, generator, etc. Correct everything. This car is right. It has been in the St. Louis area for quite some time. I have not yet done all the research into past owners. I know the two prior to me. We are getting quite close to finishing this car. Consequently, the price is reflective of it's current condition. While we would sell it as it sits, I would prefer to finish this job myself. This is going to be one killer classic!
Here is what is left to do: This has been a long term project that is finally coming to fruition. It has been, at times, fun, frustrating, expensive, but totally worth it! You can go through the pictures and email any questions you may have about the car. Or, it you are a serious buyer, give me a call at 314-520-9441. Don. I went to great lengths to make sure that only correct parts were used in this build. Down to unseen items like getting the exact numbers matching master cylinder, and having it resleeved in stainless. The master even has the corect "large" "022" numbers on it. I rebuilt the original wheel cylinders to keep it original. The mechanical rebuild included engine, trans, and rear end, all of which are original to the car, as is the completely rebuilt fuel injection unit. It is very rare to find all original parts on a classic corvette. When I bought the car, the previous owners all made sure that the original fuel injection parts came with the car. Thanks guys! This helped immensely in resurecting this car. Of course, it did not make it any cheaper, just easier! The chrome bill on this car was close to $10,000. I tried to reuse everthing possible from the original car. When it was necesary to replace anthing, I found NOS GM parts. I tried to keep this car as it would have been from Chevrolet. Along those lines, I even painted it in the original style lacquer paint. I am an old school painter, and have painted many cars in lacquer years ago. So, it was kind of a throwback to an earlier time in my life doing this car. Lacquer even smeels different than base/clear. I just felt like honoring the original builders of this car with the factory style paint. Likewise, I put the original style bias ply tires to keep the look authentic. By staying true to the original design of GM, these tires give it a factory fresh appearance; which is exactly what I was intending. That is the short story. If you want the long version, contact me for more details. |
